Fira de Sant Llúcia Christmas Market
Located on Avenida de la Catedral, in front of Barcelona Cathedral, Fira de Sant Llúcia Christmas Market comprises the oldest in Barcelona celebrating its 226th edition this Christmas 2012.
Sagrada Familia Christmas Market
The “Fira de Nadal a la Sagrada Familia” (Sagrada Familia Christmas Market), as its name suggests, is held in front of the beautiful Sagrada Familia Basilica.
It comprises around 120 stalls selling traditional Christmas goods, decorations and crafts, similar to those in the Fira de Sant Llúcia Christmas Market. However, there will also be festive performances, workshops and activities for children including on two Saturdays when Santa Claus will be collecting letters from children and handing out treats from 6pm to 8pm in the evening. Where: Plaça de la Sagrada Familia. When: 24 Nov to 22 Dec from 10am-10pm daily. Directions: Sagrada Familia metro stop (L5 or L2). Price: Free.
Fira de Reis a la Gran Via Christmas Market
The Fira de Reis a la Gran Via Christmas Market (Three Kings Fair) features around 300 stalls selling a large selection of toys and crafts, as well as clothes, accessories and sweet treats, amongst others. This is the best place to find all your Christmas presents as it boasts the biggest selection of Christmas gifts and toys in Barcelona. Where: Gran Via Corts Catalanes, 580. Directions: Universitat metro stop. When: 20 Dec 2012 to 6 Jan 2013. Weekdays from 11am-2pm and 5pm-9pm, 5th Jan open until 3am. Price: Free.
